Staying positive! Cory Wharton and Cheyenne Floyd revealed their daughter Ryder has a congenital condition called VLCAD on Teen Mom OG, and now the doting daddy is giving fans an update about his little girl’s health. Ryder was diagnosed with the scary medical issue only two days after she was born in April 2017 and it was tough for both Cheyenne and Cory to process. What Is VLCAD? 'TMOG' Cory Wharton Talks About Ryder's Condition

Scary Diagnosis

While opening up about Ryder’s condition on the show, Cheyenne, 26, explained that VLCAD stands for “very long-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency.”

What Does It Mean?

VLCAD “is a condition in which the body is unable to properly breakdown certain fats (called very long-chain fatty acids) into energy, particularly during periods without food (fasting),” according to the Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center (GARD).

Making Progress

Cory, 27, now revealed that his one-year-old daughter Ryder is “off her medication” and they are “just monitoring it,” during a new interview with OK!Magazine.com.

Planning Ahead

The MTV alum explained that him and Cheyenne are prepared. “We’re going to hit our next step with the diagnosis when she goes to school and does gym and other physical activities,” Cory said.

Staying On Top Of It

“We need to monitor her breathing,” the reality star continued. “It’s like asthma. We’re at that point where we have point under control. Everything is good!”

Meanwhile, there’s major fan speculation that Ryder’s parents Cheyenne and Cory could get back together. On the reunion special, Dr. Drew asked Cheyenne if she wanted more kids with her baby daddy.

Cheyenne sweetly nodded yes and Cory agreed 100 percent. “I mean, just from the time of meeting Ryder from day one, I have changed as a person,” he gushed about becoming a father.
