Keep staying strong! Chelsea Houska has been dealing with unbearable pain caused from mastitis after giving birth to her precious baby girl, Layne. The Teen Mom 2 star took to Twitter with an update for her fans on Sept. 10, revealing that she’s doing much better. Watch the video above to see her update.

So what exactly is this common condition many women experience? Mastitis affects one to three percent of breastfeeding mothers and “it’s caused by a backup of milk in the milk ducts,” according to WebMD. “With mastitis, the infected milk duct causes the breast to swell.”

Even though Chelsea had intended to celebrate her daughter Aubree‘s ninth birthday to the fullest on Sept. 8, she revealed her pain was too severe. “I felt so bad being so sick on Aubree’s birthday, but I’m so grateful for my parents who helped make her feel special and I can’t wait to give her the BEST day once im over this nastiness,” she wrote via Twitter.

The Teen Mom 2 star and her doting hubby welcomed their adorable baby girl on her 27th birthday, and he couldn’t help but gush over their bundle of joy. “Sharing the same amazing day I am so in love with our family,” he wrote. With a head full of hair, Layne looks just like her mama! We hope she feels better soon.
