Wendy Williams’ Estranged Husband Kevin Hunter Seeking Spousal Support Amid Divorce Proceedings
He wants her to pay up. Wendy Williams’ estranged husband, Kevin Hunter, is seeking spousal support from the talk show host, In Touch can confirm. In his response to Williams’ divorce petition, Hunter is now demanding “permanent” alimony, child support and legal fees.
The former flames were married for 21 years and share a child together — a son named Kevin Jr. — who is currently 18 and will be celebrating his 19th birthday in August 2019. According to the court docs obtained by In Touch, Hunter is demanding that Williams, 54, pay all of the above. The talk show host’s ex has also requested that she covers their son’s college expenses in the future.
Hunter previously served an important role on The Wendy Williams Show as an executive producer, but he’s since been fired. Williams filed for divorce from Hunter on April 10, 2019, and the following day, her estranged husband was served the papers at the New York City studio where the show is taped. “There exists irreconcilable differences between the parties which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of six months and which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation,” the filing states.
Split rumors have been swirling around Hunter and Williams for some time, especially considering the reports that he was allegedly cheating on the talk show host with his supposed mistress Sharina Hudson. Back in March, Williams revealed that she not only was battling with addiction again, but that she had also been living in a sober living home. Now, it seems things are looking up.
On April 15, Williams announced she’s moving out of the sober house and ready to take on life by herself. “I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son,” the TV personality said on her show. It looks like she is excited to start fresh in this next chapter.
