In recent episodes of Teen Mom OG, Tyler Baltierra was filmed renovating his home — but it seems he did not obtain the proper construction permits for the upgrades. The reality star has reportedly being sued for his failure to list all the work completed and pay for the permits. According to Radar Online, he "was ordered to pay the Plaintiff $2,088 in permit expenses, filing fees, previously assessed fines for permit violationsm, and attorneys fees," at his court battle last week.

"After initially performing any work without permits, the Township discovered work was being performed and provided notice that permits must be obtained for the construction on the property,” the court papers previously obtained by Radar Online read. "Mr. Baltierra, through his agent Catelynn Baltierra, did put a building permit application on or about March 27, 2017 claiming only work being done on the siding, front porch and gable gutters."

Along with not paying the $358 permit fee, Tyler and Catelynn also failed to list the electrical and plumbing work that was captured by cameras on the MTV reality show. "The work was in violation of Township Ordinance for failure to obtain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other permits so that the work could be done by appropriately licensed professionals and inspect by the Township," the lawsuit explained.

This was also a big problem because the work had yet to be inspected and according to the plaintiff, the house is unfit for occupancy. Tyler was previously asked to apply for the appropriate building permits, pay the pending permit fee, have inspectors visit the home, and pay the the plaintiff for "proper relief."

Tyler recently gushed about the renovations he was doing on his home. "Wrap around porch is starting to really take shape on our 1869 Octagon Farmhouse built by Great Lakes Captain George W. Smith," he captioned a photo of the house. "I am just now starting to design the inside and I'm getting GEEKED about it!" He also opened up about his house flipping business on Instagram, revealing this is the third house he has renovated.

"I’m so addicted to this house rehab business," he wrote. "I could have found a turn key home and paid the price for it, but I just wasn’t bred that way lol! I want the dingy, dirty, and broken homes. It’s so awesome to see the image in your head come to life right before your eyes! I’m really considering exploring this passion of mine and making it into a realty business, it just feels right!"

The lawsuit was filed on December 21, 2017, shortly after Tyler's wife Catelynn checked into rehab for sucidal thoughts following her miscarriage. Hopefully, the couple can worth everything out.
