In an extremely emotional Instagram post, Teen Mom OG star Tyler Baltierra shared a few lines of original poetry that he's been writing as a form of self-care. This is the second time the reality star dad has publicly shared his very vulnerable thoughts, and fans praised him for being so open about his struggles. But things took a dark turn when the 26-year-old questioned whether or not his life "even matters" in his most recent bout of written therapy.

"It's like my brain is so scattered that the moment I feel like I get what I'm after while climbing this ladder, this person in the mirror just smiles with laughter, then smacks me in the face, which starts to chase this envitable race to feeling broken, beaten, devalued, out of place, and now I'm all off pace," he wrote. "It just leaves me shattered and every time I think about my life, my brain becomes battered with only one question…does my life really even matter?!"

Although his words can be very relatable for anyone struggling with these thoughts, fans tried to lift his seemingly low spirits in the comments section. "Beautiful and sad. Yes your life matters. You matter. Be blessed," one person wrote. Another said, "Oh Tyler hun, your life [matters]. Your wife and [child] could not live without you. You are such a blessing."

Aside from the poetry, Tyler has been an open book, letting the world in on his mental health struggles including a recent bipolar diagnosis. Not only did he talk about it during the second part of the Teen Mom OG reunion episode, but he also took to Twitter to explain why it all came out. He said that he actually wasn't even planning to release the private information, but then realized he shouldn't be ashamed of it.

He and his wife, Catelynn Lowell, have been very vocal about coping with mental health ever since Cate went to rehab to battle suicidal thoughts, depression, and anxiety. While Tyler has yet to try rehab for himself, it seems like writing poetry is not only cathartic, but also helping him combat some of his demons.

Catelynn and Tyler started dating when they were just 13 years old and found out they were pregnant with their first daughter, Carly, at age 16. MTV followed their journey to give her up for adoption during the first season of 16 and Pregnant. Since then, the world has watched the couple get married, stick by eachother through sickness and in health, as well as welcome their second child together, Novalee Reign Baltierra, in 2015.
