Tyler Baltierra Admits He Would Probably Be “on Drugs or in Prison” Without ‘Teen Mom OG’
We can always count on Tyler Baltierra for some blunt honesty! On July 11, the Teen Mom OG star admitted that his life would probably be dramatically different if he never ended up on the reality show… as in, he would be “on drugs or in prison!”
It all started when a fan tried to shade him for the way he handles his depression. She said he and his wife Catelynn Lowell “seem to use it as an excuse: Oh I can’t get a job, I’m depressed. I can’t lose weight, I’m depressed. I can’t take care of my child, I’m depressed. Imagine without TM money, where would they be.”
Tyler clapped back at the rude and ignorant tweet by saying, “1. I Have two jobs: @TierraReign and TMOG. 2. Actually just dropped 40lbs. 3. I have and always will take care of Nova.” However, he got pretty raw at the end when he admitted that he does have a lot to thank Teen Mom for.
“Without TM money? I’d probably be on drugs or in prison hahaha #FACTS.” Wow, that’s brutal, but is it true? Tyler and Cate were reportedly arrested for marijuana possesion back in 2009, not long after giving Carly up for adoption. Besides that, Tyler has never been in trouble with the law, and cannabis is hardly a serious drug.
Looking at the people around Tyler, it might be easy for things to go south if he didn’t have Cate, MTV, and Nova to keep him straight. In April of this year, Tyler’s brother-in-law was arrested for cocaine possession, weapons, and larceny, according to Radar. Plus, his sister was accused of being “strung out” in an episode of TM earlier this year. Tyler deserves credit for staying on the straight and narrow. Keep up the good work, Ty!
