Sigh. After it was reported that Donald Trump will cut funding to Planned Parenthood, MSNBC host Chris Hayes reminded America that the Commander-in-Chief probably still does not know the difference between HIV and HPV. In a newly resurfaced interview, Bill Gates explained how Trump thought the two medical acronyms were the same thing. And to make matters worse, he asked the Microsoft founder twice for an impromptu biology lesson.

“Both times he wanted to know if there was a difference between HPV and HIV,” Bill said. “So I was able to explain that those are rarely confused with each other.” Yas, Bill! Who knew the 62-year-old knew how to throw shade like a pro? Also, why is Trump asking a tech guru, and not, you know, a medical professional, about this?

In a separate interview, Bill also revealed how Trump has very little knowledge about vaccines as well. “In both of those two meetings, he asked me if vaccines weren’t a bad thing, because he was considering a commission to look into the ill effect of vaccines,” he added. “And I said, ‘no, that’s a dead end. That would be a bad thing, don’t do that.”

In typical Trump fashion, he did not know much about science, but he did know more than he should have about Bill’s daughter, Jennifer — and he made sure the famous billionaire was aware of his creepy fascination. “When I first talked to him,” Bill detailed. “It was actually kind of scary how much he knew about my daughter’s appearance.” Ugh. Of course he did.

According to reports, the former Apprentice host is planning to defund Planned Parenthood by as much as $260 million under the Title X program. “The proposal would require a bright line of physical as well as financial separation between Title X programs and any program (or facility) where abortion is performed, supported, or referred for as a method of family planning,” a Trump administration official told The Weekly Standard. “None of the funds appropriated under this title shall be used in programs where abortion is a method of family planning.”

In case Trump is reading this, HPV is a sexually transmitted infection while HIV is the virus that causes AIDS and attacks the immune system. Maybe he should do some much-needed research before taking away women’s reproductive rights.
