Tristan Thompson ‘Surprised’ Khloe Kardashian With a Diamond ‘Promise Ring’ Just ‘Before Christmas’

Making his intentions known. Tristan Thompson “surprised” girlfriend Khloé Kardashian with a massive diamond “promise ring” just prior to Christmas, an insider exclusively tells Life & Style.

“Tristan surprised Khloé with a huge diamond,” the source exclusively reveals. “It’s more of a promise ring than anything else, and she absolutely loves it! He gave it to her while she was in Boston just before Christmas.”

The Good American founder, 36, sparked engagement rumors when she was photographed wearing a huge pear-shaped rock on Tuesday, December 22, while out and about with daughter True Thompson, whom she shares with the basketball player, 29.

“Tristan is going above and beyond to make it up to Khloé after the cheating scandal and prove his commitment,” the insider added, citing the athlete’s February 2019 hookup with Kylie Jenner‘s ex-BFF Jordyn Woods, which lead to him and the Revenge Body host to splitting for the second time. “He feels ready to marry her, but she needs to totally trust him first — and it will take more than a million-dollar ring, but they’re making progress and things are going well between them.”

The former Cleveland Cavaliers player moved to Boston from Los Angeles in late November after signing a $19 million two-year deal with the Boston Celtics. Despite being on the opposite coast from his daughter, 2, and his girlfriend, another source previously told Life & Style that Tristan has “no regrets” about making the career move — but it’s not easy for him to be separated from his loved ones.

“Tristan has been really missing Khloé and True since the move,” the first source added. “They had a great time together as a family in Boston — and looked at houses to rent, played in the snow and watched holiday movies. True doesn’t get to see the snow very often so [she] absolutely loved it!”

While the family of three may have played house in Massachusetts for the holidays, the California native isn’t planning to relocate just yet. “Tristan has asked Khloé to move to Boston full-time, but she isn’t ready to take that step right now, and all her family and friends are in L.A.,” the insider said.

Thankfully, the trio is making regular efforts to see one another via FaceTime until they can be together again. The source noted, “Tristan was sad to see Khloé and True leave but it won’t be long until they meet up again.”
