It was reported in August that Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's troubled son, Chet Hanks went missing — and we just learned the 25-year-old is actually spending time in a rehab facility.
"I've been in rehab. I've been trying to get my s--- together and I'm doing pretty damn good," Chet revealed in an Instagram video on Wednesday. "I just really had to take a look at myself and my life and the way s--- was going and all the crazy stupid s--- I was doing and just finally admit to myself that it wasn't working."
"A couple months ago I was selling coke [and] doing coke until I couldn't even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged. I even smoked crack," he added.

This is not the first time Chet, an aspiring rapper, sought treatment for drug addiction. He revealed last November he completed a stint in rehab for cocaine addiction.
“I’ve been struggling with substance abuse since I was 16-years-old. Finally at the age of 24 I decided to get some help,” Chet explained at the time.
While missing, the young star was rumored to be in Barstaw, Calif., which has been referred to as “the methampethamine capital of California.”

I only say this to show y'all how real it is, not to glorify anything I've done. There's nothing glorious about bringing yourself closer to death and prison with each day of active addiction. I'm just giving y'all the raw realness to let y'all know that this shit here really is not a game. It's life or death. And the solution is Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and the surrendering of your will and your life over to a Higher Power of your own understanding.
