The show was on hold due to disputes between the network’s parent companym Discovery, and the show’s production company, LMNO.

Back in June of last year, LMNO filed a $7 million breach-of-contract and copyright infringement lawsuit against Discovery — in which they accused the network giant of conspiring with a “criminal extortionist” in order to edge LMNO out of six of its shows, including The Little Couple.

In the past year, Jen and Bill hinted at a possible return many times, and was even spotted filming on occasion — though this marks the official confirmation of the show’s return.

“I’m thrilled to return home to Florida,” Jen said in a press release from the hospital, explaining that she has family near St. Petersburg, where her family will be living. “The opportunity at Johns Hopkins All Children’s is a perfect fit personally for me, my husband, and two kids and professionally with the growing education and research resources at the hospital.”
