Maine-based former model, Chelsea Roy, 29, has quickly become the standout villain of The Bachelor this season thanks to her overly confident and competitive behavior. As Chelsea engages in competition for Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s heart, In Touch has uncovered scary details about her last big romance.

According to court documents, in February 2016, Chelsea was granted a temporary protective order against Michael Wilson, her son’s biological father, after claiming that he got physical during an altercation in Falmouth, Maine. She also alleged that Michael, to whom she was once engaged, had a “history of verbal abuse, intimidation, and bullying” toward her — and In Touch has learned that they’re still at odds.

Chelsea and Michael have always “had a tumultuous relationship,” a source close to Chelsea’s ex says. “And things didn’t end well.”

According to Chelsea, during one argument, Michael “firmly grabbed and pushed me to release [Liv, their chocolate Lab] from my grip.” After ripping Liv from her arms, Chelsea claims that he “dragged [Liv] into his truck” before coming back and damaging the passenger-side mirror of her vehicle. Michael denied the claims in court papers, and the protection order was later dismissed.

But the drama was far from over. In late September, after Chelsea moved to California to film The Bachelor, Michael filed a motion to amend their custody agreement, arguing that he should “be relieved of his obligation to pay support” until her return because Sammy would be solely in his care. (Prior to the show, the pair split custody.) The source warns that more problems from her past “may surface as the season goes on… She has issues.”
