Nothing but well wishes. The Act stars Joey King and Patricia Arquette were one of the many people who were following the ups and downs Gypsy Rose Blanchard went through in her love life. Last month, Gypsy — who is the subject of the hit Hulu TV series — broke off her engagement to her fiancé, Ken. But shortly after their split, the couple got back together. Now, Joey and Patricia are sharing their thoughts on Gypsy’s relationship.

“I just want her to be happy. She’s been through so much and so if her fiancé makes her happy, I think that’s great,” Joey, 20, told Us Weekly at the Hollywood Reporter and SAG-AFTRA pre-Emmy party on Saturday, September 21. “If he doesn’t, I don’t think she should be with him. I want the universe to bless her with happiness now. She deserves it.”

Joey portrayed Gypsy on season 1 of The Act, and the role earned her a nomination for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. Patricia Arquette stars alongside Joey on the series as Gypsy’s late mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, and Patricia also weighed in on Gypsy’s love life.

“I don’t really have an opinion because it’s her personal relationship and, you know, I hope she has a happy life,” Patricia, 51, told Us Weekly at the Creative Coalition’s Annual Television Humanitarian Awards Gala on Saturday, September 21.

As In Touch previously reported, Gypsy, 28, found love with a man named Ken while behind bars as she serves out a 10-year sentence for her connection to her mother’s murder. They met through a pen pal program at the prison where Gypsy is serving her sentence and quickly got engaged. They planned to marry in January 2020, but In Touch confirmed the couple called off their wedding four months before they could make it down the aisle.

Shortly after news of Gypsy and Ken’s split broke, Gypsy’s stepmother Kristy Blanchard, exclusively confirmed to In Touch that not only was the couple back together, but their engagement was back on.

“They are back together,” Kristy exclusively told In Touch. “[The] engagement is on, but [they are] taking things slow and want to keep their relationship as private as possible.” The mother of three revealed that “for now,” Gypsy and her fiancé have postponed plans to tie the knot once the new year rolls around in 2020. “But things can change,” she admitted. “And if it changes, … the rest will be kept private until they are ready for people to know. … [They] are keeping their personal lives personal from here on out.”
