‘Little Women: LA’ Star Terra Jolé Cries When Daughter Takes “Unexpected” First Steps

Go, Penny, go! Little Women: LA star Terra Jolé received an "unexpected" surprise when daughter Penny, 2, took her first steps using a DIY walker Terra built herself. The proud mama, 37, recently opened up to People about the milestone — which took place earlier this month.

The reality star — whose daughter has a form of dwarfism known as achondroplasia — said, "I’ve learned to throw all expectations out the window with our children. We are all made differently, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that." She added, "Seeing Penny take her first steps was the most unexpected victory I’ve ever experienced, and [we’re] beyond overjoyed to have captured it on film."

In the video, the Dancing With the Stars alum — and expert crafter! — put together a walker for her daughter using PVC pipes and glue and honestly, we're impressed. During the 12-minute clip, she gushed, "She did it herself, she did it herself! I'm not holding on." After Penny grabbed onto the walker and took a few steps forward, she added, "That's, like, the most I've ever seen her walk, so this is really special." She concluded, "This is making me the happiest mom ever because this is exactly what I was hoping that she would want to do instead of me forcing her to do it. I wish I built this a year ago."

Her hubby, Joe Gnoffo — who has pseudoachondoplasia — was also impressed. He admitted, "I really think you did a great job on the walker. Very creative. I wouldn't have been able to think of it." Terra chimed in, "I made it red so that if we have any other children — and they happen to be little — boys or girls can actually use it." Ahh, so can we expect another little Gnoffo?! Not so fast, said her hubby. "Why does it always go there?" he laughed. "This is Penny's!" Suureeee. Here's to hoping they get more use out of their awesome DIY walker — and have more babies!
