After Joe Giudice’s bond request was denied on Friday, September 20, his wife, Teresa Giudice, is trying to remain positive through it all. “It’s a sad time with my husband and everything, so we’re going to try and work it out as best we can,” the 47-year-old said at the GNO Weekend: An Evening with the Celebrity Housewives at Harrah’s Casino Resort Atlantic City on Saturday, September 21. “The most important thing is our four daughters, so I’m hoping Joe is able to stay in the United States.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey starlet was asked if she was in “a good place” right now, and Teresa bluntly replied, “No, no, not yet.” The Bravo personality — who is the mom of four daughters: Gia, 18, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 10 — admitted that her family is “going through a really difficult time right now.”

Unfortunately, it’s been a tough few years for Teresa and her 47-year-old husband. The couple was found guilty of multiple fraud charges in 2013, and the brunette beauty served 11 months in prison in 2015. For his part, the businessman served a 41-month sentence after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud including mail, wire and bankruptcy. Joe was released from jail in March and moved into Immigration and Customs Enforcement Custody on March 14. Joe pleaded with an immigration judge to be released from ICE custody while he awaits a verdict in his deportation case, but unfortunately, it was denied. Now, Joe will remain in ICE custody until his pending deportation.

Despite the ups and downs, the mom of four gave advice for people going through a scary situation. “I had all these businesses, and everything went crashing down,” she said during the panel. “But, look, I picked myself right back up, and if anybody else is going through hard times, don’t worry about it. You will get through it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I do believe that. You’ve got to be positive!”

Even though Teresa revealed she might not stay with Joe if he gets deported to his native Italy, the Standing Strong author got candid about what life will be like without him. “If he gets deported, he’ll never be able to go to their graduation[s], celebrate their birthdays, anything. He’s going to be missing out on so much,” she said in a Bravo Insider video. “The girls adore their father, and no child should have to go through what my daughters are going through. They should have their daddy here.”
