Teresa Giudice Celebrates 47th Birthday Amid Husband Joe’s Deportation Battle
Happy birthday, Teresa Giudice! The Real Housewives of New Jersey star celebrated turning 47 on Saturday, May 18, and it seems like she had a blast. The star started off her day by watching one of her four daughters, 14-year-old Gabriella, kick butt on the soccer field. After that, it was time for mimosas and some primping as she got her hair done. By the evening, she was celebrated with a Chanel-themed cake. And on Sunday, May 19, she and plenty of family gathered for a delicious looking dinner.
Of course, her whole family wasn’t in attendance. Her husband, Joe Giudice, was missing from the celebrations. Though he was released from prison in March, the Real Housewives husband has been in ICE custody ever since. Despite being granted a “temporary administrative stay” while the court processes his motion for a stay of removal, the father-of-four is set to be deported. His family has been attempting to fight it, though, including wife Teresa.
In April, the 47-year-old mom penned an emotional letter pleading for Joe’s release so that he can stay with his family. “My mother used to tell me that God meant for us to be together, and I know that she is right,” she wrote. “Judge Ellington, my daughters need their father. … I cannot bear the thought of my daughters losing their father, I am fearful that it will break them and that I alone will not be able to fix them. … This is my greatest fear and it keeps me up at night. The fear that if I lose my husband, I will also lose my children, as they will never ever be the same.”
On May 15, just a few days before Teresa’s birthday, her brother, Joe Gorga, confirmed to In Touch that she’s still struggling with her husband’s deportation. “It’s hard. She’s a mess. She’s raising her four daughters by herself, so she has to be strong. She tries to keep busy,” he exclusively told In Touch. Luckily, it seems like she was able to put all of that aside for a few days and celebrate what she does have: her health, four beautiful daughters, and friends and family to spend time with on her big day.
