No one should ever feel this way.

During a recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler Baltierra recalled a bout of depression when he was younger — and revealed to his father, Butch Baltierra, that he attempted suicide when he was 12-years-old.

“I was a depressed kid. I had to walk around school with rope burns around my neck for two weeks. You went back [to prison], Mom was always working all the time, I was getting suspended from school and I was like, ‘There is no point to go on anymore,’" Tyler explained. "You’re not the only one locked up when you were in there, all of us were.”

More of Tyler and his wife, Catelynn Lowell’s, tumultuous upbringings are detailed in their memoir, Conquering Chaos, though the tell-all doesn't include the time he almost ended his life as a preteen — an editorial decision he has since said he regrets.

While the reality star struggled while his father was incarcerated, Tyler and Butch seem to have a better relationship these days — they even went to the strip club together for Ty’s bachelor party!
