‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Bristol Palin Opens Up About Dating After Divorce: ‘Hell To The Naw’
Don’t expect Bristol Palin to start dating any time soon! The new Teen Mom OG cast member made an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday, Sept. 18, to promote the upcoming season premiere and she opened up about why she decided to join the cast of the hit MTV reality TV series — and she dished about whether she’d be open to dating and getting remarried after her divorce from her ex-husband Dakota Meyer.
“Hell to the naw. No,” the 27-year-old said in a clip from the upcoming season that aired during her Good Morning America segment. “My parents have been married [for] 30 years. Like, of course, that would be so incredible to have that. But my thoughts on it have changed so much that it’s like — I don’t think I would ever get remarried. Ever.”
But when Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos asked if she was sure that she would “never, ever” get remarried, Bristol kind of backtracked just a tiny bit. “I don’t know,” she said with a smile.
Fans get a proper introduction to Bristol when Teen Mom OG premieres next month, and they will get to follow along as she documents the downfall of her marriage. But despite the fact that Bristol’s storyline will be somewhat sad, she wants to share her story to send a message to viewers.
“You know, I’ve been a huge fan of the show forever, and I’ve watched these girls’ stories and I just feel like, God gave me a platform and I need to use it, and if there’s anything that I can relate in my life to someone else out there then that’s what I want to do,” Bristol said. “Honestly I just think that if I can show — I was recently divorced — so if I can show that life doesn’t end after a divorce, then I hope that people can see that and continue living and continue to just chip away at life.”
