It might be Gary Time soon! Teen Mom OG star Gary Shirley took a break from his daddy duties to make a rare but long-overdue public appearance at the 2017 MTV VMAs earlier this week. Even though he seems to have his hands full with his two daughters, he exclusively revealed to In Touch that he would like to make another addition to his family, but there's one major obstacle getting in the way — his wife, Kristina Anderson.
"Actually Kristina had gotten her tubes tied. I would love to have more kids," he exclusively told In Touch. "It's the hassle of taking care of them because your relationship gets put on the back burner. Maybe one day we will go back and untie them. Maybe fostering, that was something we were interested in. And you can adopt through fostering."
Gary shares an eight-year-old daughter Leah Shirley with his ex-fiancée Amber Portwood — who walked the MTV VMAs red carpet with her new boyfriend Andrew Glennon — and he also has a two-year-old daughter named Emilee with his wife. Kristina also has a nine-year-old daughter named Karly, whom she shares with her ex-husband Greg Anderson.
Whether Gary and Kristina will decide to have a baby naturally or foster/adopt, one thing is for sure — Leah will be an amazing big sister! Gary said she's already had plenty of practice with her little sister Emilee.
"Leah tries to be the big sister and the big mama so it helps out quite a bit," Gary told In Touch. "Leah does an amazing job of being a big sister. She wants to take her toys still. But I tell her that one day this girl is going to look up and want to be everything that you are and she will idolize you one day."
