Jenelle Evans Reveals She May Never Be Able To Fly Again For This Heartbreaking Reason
This is so sad. Starcasm reported that Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom 2 said in several text-only Instagram Story posts that she may not be able to fly for the remainder of her life. Why? Thanks to a medical condition known as esophageal spasms.
In the series of posts, Jenelle reportedly wrote, “It really sucks when you have so many opportunities at your feet but your health holds you back. 🙁 Might not be able to fly for the rest of my life, seriously heartbroken. There’s so much more in life for me to see. I don’t want to stop here. 😢” That’s legitimately tragic, and we feel for the reality TV series star.
When someone asked Jenelle, “Why might you not be able to fly ever again? 🙁,” she replied, “Esophageal Spasms 🙁 No one knows why it happens,” according to Starcasm. For anyone who may not be aware, esophageal spasms are “painful contractions within the muscular tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus),” the Mayo Clinic reported. They may manifest as “sudden, severe chest pain that lasts from a few minutes to hours,” which certainly doesn’t sound like fun.
But the Clinic also reported that these spasms “typically occur only occasionally” and may not even require treatment. The Clinic also didn’t list anything as a side effect involving not being able to fly, although it did report that people who deal with the condition should avoid “trigger foods or situations.” Maybe flying is a trigger for Jenelle?
Jenelle does seem to like to travel, at least if all the adventures she shares moments from on Instagram are any indication. There’s no way for the rest of us to know what her doctors have told her about her condition, and if a medical professional really has said she shouldn’t fly, that’s legit. We really hope that’s not the case, because that would be seriously heartbreaking for the Teen Mom 2 star!
