Many Teen Mom 2 fans know Jenelle Evans is not afraid to let her true feelings shine through. Often, that comes in the form of more … shall we say, volatile words and actions? But earlier this week, she got a little personal on Twitter in a more positive way. Jenelle, 27, gushed over her mama, Barbara Evans, in a tweet and it was legitimately presh. Check out what she said in our gallery below.
On Tuesday, March 26, Jenelle gave a shoutout to one person on Twitter who she claimed helps her get through all the tough stuff — her mama.

Darkest Times
“If anything the ONLY woman that helped me through my deepest darkest time was my MOTHER,” the MTV star shared with fans and followers. She appeared to post the tweet while watching the show because she included the “#TeenMom2” hashtag.

Tea Sippin’ and Smack Talkin’
Their rekindled relationship isn’t exactly new, though. Back in September, Jenelle sipped on tea and did a lil smack talking with the 66-year-old. That’s what moms are for, right? “Had a cute breakfast with a cute little lady, ☕️💞” she captioned the shot, alongside the hashtags “#Breakfast,” “#GossipGirl” and “#SippinTea.”
Needless to say, fans are ~loving it.~ “So happy where u guys are now … it’s truly amazing … ❤️” one person wrote. Another added, “So happy for you and your mother back together again,” while a third chimed in, “I’m so glad you guys are getting along ❤️”

On Defense
That same month, Jenelle defended Barbara after she stirred up some controversy by saying she wanted to “kill” Jenelle’s enemy, Kailyn Lowry, on Saturday, January 19. Brittany DeJesus went on Instagram Live with the two ladies, and the Teen Mom grandma told her daughter and Brittany that they should “all get lit and we’ll go kill Kail.” Yikes.

Too Late
After laughing, Jenelle told her mother, “Oh, my god, we’re on Live, mom. You can’t say that s–t.” But the damage was already done.

Promises, Promises
Within days, Jenelle took to Instagram Live to explain, “My producer just called us about this … My mom is just chillin’ like, guys — chill out. Seriously. You guys have nothing to be spazzing about at all. We’re not gonna hurt anyone, we’re not gonna harm anyone. I promise you.”

Just a Joke!
Barbara also explained, “So earlier I was talking to Brittany [DeJesus], Briana’s sister,” Barbara told the camera. “And I said that I wanted to kill Kail and everybody took it out of perspective. That’s not really what I meant, I was doing a joke.”

Benefit of the Doubt
Jenelle continued, “My mom has not been on Instagram or Facebook or anything for a long time … The old generation, you gotta give them the benefit of the doubt. They don’t know what they’re talking about, they don’t know that this s–t will be taken seriously if they say it.” She was not about to let people get away with dragging her mom!

A Treasure
Another fan told Jenelle, “Smartest thing you’ve ever said! No one will ever love you like your mother. Treasure her!” Well, Jenelle sure seems willing to protect Barbara when people come after her on Instagram. Hopefully, she takes that attitude into her real life as well.
