Look what you made her do! Taylor Swift performed all of her hits over the past 15 years during the 2019 American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 24. The singer started off with “The Man” and wore her past albums — a.k.a. “Speak Now” — right in the front of the white T-shirt. Was she hinting at Scooter Braun? Perhaps! Then, the 29-year-old performed “Love Story,” “I Knew You Were Trouble, “Blank Space.” Later on, Taylor brought out her friends Halsey and Camila Cabello during “Shake It Off,” and the ladies looked like they were having a great time. Lastly, Taylor went back to her roots by playing “Lover” on the piano.

Of course, Tay’s bestie Selena Gomez was cheering her on the whole time. The entertainer’s mom, Andrea Swift — who is currently battling breast cancer — and her dad, Scott Swift, were also in the audience watching their daughter own the stage. So sweet!

It’s great to see the Grammy winner doing so well these days, despite all of the drama she has been through in the past week. On November 14, Taylor got candid with her fans and revealed she may not be able to perform certain tunes during the awards show. “Guys, it’s been announced recently that the American Music Awards will be honoring me with the Artist of the Decade Award at this year’s ceremony,” she wrote on Twitter. “I’ve been planning to perform a medley of my hits throughout the decade on the show. Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year.”

She continued, “Scooter also manages several artists who I really believe care about other artists and their work. Please ask them for help with this — I’m hoping that maybe they can talk some sense into the men who are exercising tyrannical control over someone who just wants to play the music she wrote.”

Lastly, the “Dress” crooner ended her lengthy message by asking for her friends and fans to stick by her side. Of course, her besties defended the Pennsylvania native. Selena Gomez wrote, “My heart is so heavy right now. It makes me sick and extremely angry. You’ve robbed and crushed one of our best songwriters of our time an opportunity to celebrate all of her music with fans and the world. I have known Taylor for 13 years. She is the most dedicated, fearless, feisty, strongest women I’ve ever known.”

Gigi Hadid shared similar thoughts, writing, “Scott and Scooter, you know what the right thing to do is. Taylor and her fans deserve to celebrate the music!!” while Halsey fumed, writing, “This is punishment. This is hoping to silence her from speaking about things by dangling this over her head. It is her grace and patience in these moments that make her Artist of the Decade.”

On November 15, Big Machine denied Taylor’s accusations. “Taylor, the narrative you have created does not exist,” the statement read. “To date, not one of the invitations to speak with us and work through this has been accepted. Rumors fester in the absence of communication … We share the collective goal of giving your fans the entertainment they both want and deserve.”

However, Scooter revealed he was worried about his family throughout this ordeal. “Since your public statement last week there have been numerous death threats directed at my family,” he wrote on Instagram on Friday, November 22. “This morning I spoke out publicly for the first time saying I wouldn’t participate in a social media war. However, I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children as well as other threats seen above. I won’t go into the details of this past week. I have been at a loss. Thinking of my wife and children, my team and their families, I have gone through a range of emotion on how to deal with this. I write this now only after a deep breath and much reflection. I am certain there is no situation ever worth jeopardizing anyone’s safety.”

Ultimately, the New York native wants to make peace with Tay. “Moving forward I would like to find a resolution,” he shared. “I will make myself available whenever works for you. Many have told me that a meeting will never happen as this is not about truth or resolution but instead a narrative for you. I am hopeful that is not the case. I’m right here, ready to speak directly and respectfully. But if you would prefer to make large public statements while refusing to work towards resolving things amicably, then I just pray that nobody gets seriously hurt in the process. I continue to wish you the best and hope we can resolve this.”

Luckily, Taylor was able to grace us with her presence and put on one hell of a performance. Forget the haters, girl! ~They need to calm down.~
