Since Christina and Tarek El Moussa first put themselves in the spotlight with Flip or Flop, they have always been willing to share every intimate detail about their personal lives — whether it’s his battle with cancer, or their economic struggle when they first got started in politics.

But there are still some things about HGTV couple that fans don’t know — for example, many fans have asked: What ethnicity is Tarek El Moussa?

While his nationality is American — he was born and raised in Southern California, where he continues to live and work today — his ethnicity is slightly more ambiguous.

Several reports seem to suggest that Tarek’s father was Moroccan, although more details about his heritage remain unknown. However, other reports claim that he was born in Egypt and moved to the States when he was about 21 — but it would appear that fans are confusing him with Tarek Moussa, an actor with a very similar name.

While Tarek has remained tight-lipped when it comes to his past, fans appear to be equally curious when it comes to the future — especially that of the show.

As In Touch exclusively revealed, five different sources told the magazine there are no plans for another season.

“They won’t go beyond what they’ve already shot,” one such source explained to In Touch. “There will be only the spin-off shows with the new couples in different cities. Christina El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa won’t be filming more episodes. Season 7 is their last.”

Christina and Tarek had previously said that they had plans to continue to work together — despite their recent separation and impending divorce.

“We have so much fun on set and we look forward to continuing the show,” Christina said on Good Morning America in February. “We met at work, so we worked together before we ever started dating.”
