We hope he's okay! HGTV reality star Tarek El Moussa has had really had a rough couple of years, and it seems like he can't catch a break. Just four months after he finalized his divorce from his ex-wife Christina El Moussa, the Flip or Flop star revealed that he has suffered another devastating back injury.

"Awful news… life has been going so well and I've been so happy and healthy! Unfortunately… I injured my back again," the 36-year-old father of two — Brayden and Taylor El Moussa — revealed to his Instagram followers. "It's very scary," Tarek continued. Last time I lost 50 pounds and was taking large amounts of pain meds to try and help the pain. Truthfully those meds really affected my mental and physical state and changed who I was. Last time I hurt my back it took me a year and a half to recover."

Awful news…life has been going so well and I've been so happy and healthy! Unfortunately….I injured my back again….it's very scary. Last time I lost 50 pounds and was taking large amounts of pain meds to try and help the pain. Truthfully those meds really affected my mental and physical state and changed who I was. Last time I hurt my back it took me a year and a half to recover. As of today I can barely walk…I honestly can't even believe this is happening, I feel like it's a bad dream that I will wake up from. I will be truthful and say I'm very down because of this. It is going to take a lot of positivity and strength to go through this a second time. I will stay positive and I will fight to get healthy again. I appreciate all the support. T

"As of today I can barely walk," Tarek added. "I honestly can't even believe this is happening, I feel like it's a bad dream that I will wake up from. I will be truthful and say I'm very down because of this. It is going to take a lot of positivity and strength to go through this a second time. I will stay positive and I will fight to get healthy again. I appreciate all the support."

Tarek is hardly new to health struggles. In 2013, the real estate investor was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when, just weeks later, he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer. "No joke, I thought I was going to die,” he said candidly of his cancer battles. "I was like, 'Two cancers?'"

But throughout his health issues, Tarek still found the strength to continue working on his popular home renovation series. "I literally filmed 'til the day I went into my surgery, and within two weeks after, I was back on camera," Tarek explained. "It was definitely difficult to do, but it definitely pushed my mental strength to the limits… I just kept moving forward."

THIS SUCKS!!!! I worked so hard to get in shape and about two months ago I hurt my shoulder and haven't been able to work out since!! It's amazing how two short months can take away all that hard work!!! So…there is one thing I know! I'm working on fixing my shoulder and I'm more motivated than ever to get out there and go after it again. We will always have setbacks In life but in order to succeed we must never stop fighting and never give up!! Life is about overcoming obstacles and believing in yourself!! Now go out there, set some goals, and accomplish something great! #motivationmonday!

But with this surgery, it seems like Tarek will need to take some down time in order to heal — but he probably won't be down for long because it seems like he's a fighter. After suffering from an awful back injury that eventually led to his first surgery, Tarek was previously told he'd likely never be able to lift weights again, but with a lot of hard work, he was able to build the strength in his back again.

"The amount of motivation and fight Tarek had in the beginning is unmatched by any other client I have yet had and was paramount to his recovery," Tarek's rehabilitative trainer Quintin Tucker told E! News. "Session after session he would always say, 'I'm going to be your biggest transformation, I'm going to get back into the best shape of my life,' and he did." Here's to a healthy, speedy recovery — we believe in you, Tarek!
