Suri Cruise Seems Destined to Become a Model: ‘She’s Very Much a Little Performer’

Ready for the catwalk! Apparently, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter, Suri Cruise, is interested in becoming a model, and won’t exactly have to fight for space in that competitive world. “Modeling agencies are practically beating Katie’s door down to sign Suri up,” a source exclusively told Radar Online on May 6. “Suri’s really excited — she’s very much a little performer.”

However, the insider added that mom Katie, 40, is not so sure about her daughter’s possible opportunities. “She was basically a child star herself, and isn’t sure if she wants Suri growing up in the industry,” the source explained. We think that’s a legit concern.

The source claimed that Suri is “determined,” and it might not matter whether her celebrity mama is uneasy with the situation. Katie has generally worked hard to keep her daughter’s life pretty private, but the girl did just turn 13 on April 18. Pretty soon, she’ll be able to make decisions about her career and her future for herself.

“Suri is a great kid,” a source told Us Weekly on April 18. “She is so sweet and well-mannered … She’s just a good girl who is a joy to be around. Katie has done things right with her because she’s very grounded and down to earth. She doesn’t come across as spoiled or like a celebrity kid at all. She’s kind and she always shows gratitude.”

In fact, in March, Katie took her daughter to the Greek Island of Lesbos to take part in some charity work. Not every teenager is out doing work to help refugees, and we think it’s really wonderful that the Dawson’s Creek alum makes sure her daughter has those experiences. Even if Suri does end up being a world-famous model, we hope that she keeps that core of wanting to help people and stay grounded no matter how successful she becomes.
