Suri Cruise to Celebrate Her Third Birthday in a Row Without Dad Tom Cruise (EXCLUSIVE)
Next week, Suri Cruise will turn 10-years-old — but the occasion will be bittersweet, as it’ll mark her third consecutive birthday she’s celebrating without her famous dad, Tom Cruise.
A source exclusively tells In Touch the 53-year-old “is in the middle of filming The Mummy and couldn’t tear himself away.”

“It’s his usual excuse,” the source notes.

Seeing the little girl suffer is understandably difficult for her mother, Katie Holmes.
Despite his multiple chances to see his daughter, Tom has stayed away; an insider speculates that this is because Katie has been labeled a “suppressive person,” which is a term Scientologists use to describe someone who stands in the way of spiritual progress.
“Suri hasn’t been labeled a ‘suppressive person,’ but Katie has,” the insider explains. “And her closeness to her daughter likely makes seeing both off-limits to Tom.”
Tom has repeatedly declined to comment when asked by In Touch why he has gone so long without seeing his daughter.
