Idris Elba — The New James Bond?
The man is Elba. Idris Elba. According to The Daily Beast, in an e-mail sent between Pascal and Elizabeth Cantillon, former executive vice president of production for Columbia Pictures, on Jan. 4, 2014, the Sony chief expressed her desire to make 'The Wire' alum, 42, the next Bond after Daniel Craig's contract is up. Pascal's message read, "Idris should be the next Bond."
We haven't agreed much with this lady since the hacked e-mails came to light, but we definitely stand behind her on this decision!

Adam Sandler's an "A–hole" Apparently
E-mails unearthed by The Daily Beast show Sony wasn't happy with the funnyman on the set of 'Hotel Transylvania 2.' Couple that with a meeting discussing a film adaptation about the board game Candyland — and you've got Pascal calling one of Hollywood's nicest guys the big "A" word.
When the gathering ended on a bad note, the Sony chief received an apologetic message from one of her co-workers.
Pascal's response is as follows: “Adam is an a–hile [sic] and this is more his fault than anyone’s but what we did was not communicate with each other and make assumptions maybe I didn’t pay attention when you were telling me what I was walking into but it also comes from a non alien meant between us all and too many people doing everything and no one taking responsibility and I mean myself as it is my responsibility to let you guys know what I want to breath [sic] life into.”

When celebrating ’22 Jump Street’ surpassing ‘Ted’ as the second highest opening of an R-rated comedy, Chan sent an email that said, “F YOU TED !!!! SECOND OF ALLLL TIMMMMME BEEEOTCH!!!! Clint Culpepper — president of Screen Gems — referred to Kevin Hart as a “whore.” The 35-year-old responded on Instagram, with a post that said, “I’m able to brush ignorance off of my shoulder and continue to move forward.”
In light of all the drama, a press junket to promote his Sony film — ‘The Wedding Ringer’ — was canceled.

Directors Don’t Always Get What They Want
Take David Fincher — the director of the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ sequel — for example. He told Amy Pascal that casting Adam Driver in the movie was a “terrible idea.”
Of course, the ‘Girls’ actor got the role anyway.

David O. Russell Has Been Accused of Some Shady Things
The director has had a lot of success in recent years — with films like ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ and ‘American Hustle.’ In an email to Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chair Amy Pascal, Michael De Luca — a top exec at Columbia Pictures — acknowledges his talent, while exposing some skeletons in the director’s closet.
He wrote, “David’s a loon, talented, but geez once I saw him bring Sally Field to a party and reduce her to tears. Plus, remember when he got in trouble for feeling up his transgender nieces boobs? [sic]”
