It seems like there's some serious wedding planning drama going down! The Season 8 premiere of TLC's hit reality TV series Sister Wives is set to air on Sunday, January 7, and now fans are getting an idea of what to expect to see from the polygamous Brown family. Last season left off with Kody Brown and Christine Brown's daughter Mykelti Brown getting engaged to her boyfriend Tony Padron, and it's picking right back up in the early stages of wedding planning — but things get tense when Kody and Christine find out that Tony and Mykelti's idea of an awesome wedding comes with a pretty hefty price tag.

In a sneak peek of this week's episode obtained by Us Weekly, Mykelti explained that she wanted to go with a Mexican vintage theme for her wedding. "What I'm trying to do is bring two cultures together — Mexican is Tony, vintage is me," she said in her confessional. She also explained that instead of providing wedding guests with a plated, sit-down dinner, she and Tony decided to serve traditional Mexican street tacos in five different stations and they estimated that they'd need 10 tacos for each of their 400 guests.

The planner assured Mykelti and Tony that their caterer could handle making 4,000 tacos for their wedding, but Christine interjected from a parent’s point of view. “Now we’re panicking at the price of 400, you realize that’s a lot of money. 400 people for a meal that’s provided is a lot,” she told her daughter.

But Mykelti thought that since it’s not a sit-down meal, the price would be a little bit cheaper and that’s when dad Kody had to step in. He asked the planner what the venue’s base price per plate and after emphasizing the fact that she would have to consult with the caterer for a more accurate price, that they usually charge anywhere between $26-$32 per person.

Just got out of Tony's best friends wedding. It was so beautiful and I'm so happy for the new couple. Tony looked good as the best man.

“It’s a funny place to be, I don’t wanna talk about it,” he said in his confessional, but Christine backed him up. “I’m going to agree with you before you even say it, we want to give Mykelti this awesome wedding but 400 people is a lot. She has to realize that somehow in her mind that it’s really expensive and she just needs to be grateful — we don’t want to feel like we’re being taken advantage of.”
