Fat Joe Celebration

Fat Joe’s 11th studio and final album release, Family Ties — which is a joint album with Dre of Cool & Dre — was held at the Ridingers’ sprawling estate, Casa de Sueños. The who’s who including DJ Khaled, Fabolous, the original “Wolf of Wall Street” Jordan Belfort, Winnie Harlow, Jeezy, Bryson Tiller, artist Alec Monopoly, Too $hort, Swizz Beatz, Daymond John and Food God were all in attendance. Fat Joe jumped on the mic and entertained the audience with some of his greatest hits as well as some of his new songs, such as “Projects,” “Heaven & Hell,” “Deep,” “Big Splash” and “Hands On You” with Dre. In the middle of his performance, Fat Joe took the mic and said, “We grew up in the projects and now we in a $100 million house rapping about our history,” then the DJ immediately went into playing a tribute to Prince.

Fat Joe Party

The crowd went wild when Fat Joe then pulled Swizz Beatz on stage to perform several of Swizz’s produced songs, including Jay-Z‘s “On to the Next One” and “Who Am I.” Afterward, Fat Joe and Swizz Beats performed “Lean Back” with JR and Lauren on stage. Fat Joe stopped the music to thank his hosts for teaching him how to love, and then devoted the next song to them: “All The Way Up.” Following, he went on to perform some of his greatest hits from back in the day including top hit “What’s Luv.”

The event, which took place during Miami Art Week, also included artwork from Domingo Zapata, the contemporary Spanish artist who is well known for working with hip hop icons – including Fat Joe.
