Debra Tate has some not-so-nice words for Hilary Duff‘s upcoming film about her sister Sharon Tate‘s 1969 murder. The 30-year-old is set to star in The Haunting of Sharon Tate and shared a photo of herself dressed similarly to the actress on Instagram, writing, “Had the incredible opportunity of playing Sharon Tate the past two weeks in an independent movie. She was an amazing woman and it was a true honor.”

In an interview with People, Debra said she believed “it’s classless” and “exploitative” for producers to make a film about her brutal slaying. She added, however, that she’s not upset with Hilary. “It doesn’t matter who it is acting in it — it’s just tasteless. It’s classless how everyone is rushing to release something for the 50th anniversary of this horrific event.”

Sharon, 26, was murdered by Charles Manson‘s cult followers after they broke inside her home and stabbed her repeatedly. She was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with husband Roman Polanski‘s child — a boy — at the time.

Debra, who was just 16 years old when her sister was killed, commented on what she believed was the premise of the film: A scene in which her sister has a premonition that she and former boyfriend, Jay Sebring, would have their throats slit — which was eerily similar to how their actual deaths occurred. “I know for a fact she did not have a premonition — awake or in a dream — that she and Jay would have their throat cut,” she said. “I checked with all of her living friends. None of her friends had any knowledge of this. Tacky, tacky, tacky.” She added, “It’s a total fabrication.”

After spending nearly half a century in prison, Charles Manson passed away at the age 83 on Nov. 19. The 83-year-old mass murderer was rushed to a hospital in Bakersfield, CA on Nov. 12, and according to TMZ, his condition quickly deteriorated. “It’s not going to get any better for him,” a source said shortly before his death, explaining that the inmate had undergone various procedures, all while being accompanied by five cops. “It’s just a matter of time.”
