Shannon Beador Set to Face off With David in Court Over Custody of Their Kids (REPORT)
They’re ready to talk it out! Just one week after Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador filed for divorce from her husband David Beador, the estranged couple is preparing to go to court to face off over custody of their three children in mediation.
Shannon and David will both attend a parental education and mediation hearing on January 4, 2018, Radar reported. The former couple shares three daughters together, 16-year-old Sophie and 13-year-old twins Stella and Adeline. In court documents obtained by The Blast, Shannon filed for primary physical custody of their girls and she offered joint legal custody of the girls to David, plus visitation.
The 53-year-old filed for divorce on Dec. 5 after 17 years of marriage and she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. But as RHOC fans know, Shannon and David’s marriage has been riddled with issues stemming from David’s cheating. Back in June 2015, Shannon bravely opened up about her husband’s eight-month affair with another woman during Season 10 of the hit Bravo reality TV series but at the time, she was determined to fix her marriage.
“Divorce is not an option, it has never been an option for me,” Shannon said. “I love my family and I will do whatever it takes to keep my family together.”
The couple tried to work through their issues, and David even surprised his wife with a vow renewal ceremony in August 2016, where they recommitted themselves to each other during a sweet ceremony that was filmed for RHOC. But stress continued to add pressure to Shannon and she eventually gained 40 pounds, which also was an issue in her marriage to David.
“With all the weight gain, I don’t know how it happened,” she said during an episode. “I feel so s–tty about myself. When I look in the mirror I don’t even recognize myself and I know David is just disgusted with the whole thing.”
Shannon and David officially announced their split back in October, and sources revealed to Radar that David plans to give Shannon “everything she wants” in the divorce.
