Why was he a no-show? Fans are blasting Robert Kardashian for skipping an event honoring his beloved late father. Several of his famous family members gathered to celebrate the opening of UCLA’s Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health in Los Angeles on April 16, but Rob was noticeably missing.

Rob, 32, did take to social media to reveal how “proud” of his father he was the following day, but several commenters put him in the hot seat for being MIA during such a special occasion. “You should have been there,” one wrote underneath his tweet. “An internet post won’t make up for you not being there,” another chimed in, while a third added, “Miss your face. Show your support.”

Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian were there with momager Kris, and Kendall Jenner also made an appearance. Khloé even took to Instagram Stories to reveal more details about the new center named after their late father. “The UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health will provide resources for groundbreaking research, patient care, and education/training, in addition to support of efforts in esophageal health,” the reality star posted via social media.

“The naming of the center and its dedicated specialty services will assist in advancing UCLA’s position at the forefront of the world for the study and treatment of esophageal and other GI disorders — improving the quality of life for countless patients and their families,” she added. Khloé noted how it’s been years in the making and said she’s overjoyed to see it come to fruition.

Once the family arrived, Kim proudly revealed that they cut the ribbon. “We’re going to take a picture with all the doctors and everyone that will be helping and educating. We’re all here. My whole dad’s side of the family came to support,” the reality star revealed via Instagram and Twitter.

Robert Sr., widely known for being the attorney who worked the 1994 O.J. Simpson case, died in 2003 at the age of 59 after succumbing to his battle to esophageal cancer. Now, his loved ones are happy to continue his legacy and help others along the way. “We hope to save lives and help the community for many years to come in honor of our father,” Kim revealed in a statement.

Longtime family friend Dr. Eric Esrailian did give a shout-out to Rob, writing, “We launched the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health last night and will help people in our community and around the world for years to come! Proud of you all @kimkardashian @khloekardashian @kourtneykardash @krisjenner @kendalljenner and we missed you @robkardashian.” It looks like Rob is showing support from afar as he did repost the message!
