Tom Sandoval, Raquel Leviss Cheating Clues: Photos, Quotes

Um … were their clues alluding to Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss‘ infidelity? The Vanderpump Rules stars have been gushing over each other for years, seemingly hinting at their illicit affair.

Life & Style confirmed on March 3 that Tom and longtime love Ariana Madix had split after nine years together. A source close to Ariana revealed to Life & Style that “the rumor is true,” adding, “They, in fact, broke up due to Tom cheating on her with Raquel.” TMZ was first to report the news.

In the aftermath of the scandal, both Tom and Raquel have issued public apologies to Ariana.

“The choices I made hurt so many people. I acted in a way that clashes with who and how I want to be,” Tom wrote, in part, when sharing a lengthy statement to Instagram on March 7. “I will continue to reflect and work on myself. I have work to do. I always have, and I always will.”

Hours after the musician’s late-night social media apology, Raquel issued her own statement.

“I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships,” she shared with Entertainment Tonight on March 8. “There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana.”

The former beauty queen went on to say that she’s been “reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved.”

Prior to her relationship with Tom, Ariana was engaged to former Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy until their split in December 2021. Most of VPR season 10 — which is currently airing on Bravo — surrounds Raquel moving on from her past romance. However, there was no mention of a possible relationship with Tom, especially since he was with Ariana at the time. In fact, the show portrayed a possible romance between the Bravolebrity and costar Tom Schwartz.

Looking back, fans have pointed out all the possible clues that alluded to Raquel and Tom’s affair, which was reportedly occurring for months before it went public.

July 2022

Raquel referred to Tom as “one of my best friends lately” while chatting with E! News.

“He just is so in touch with himself and fully accepting of who he is and is so confident and — I don’t know, I feel like he looks at me like a little sister and he’s supporting me,” she continued. “And you know, [in] just a very kind way that I really, yeah, he’s a really great guy.”

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Scheana Shay, the costars played the “BFF Test.” They were asked which the “cuter Tom” is and both ladies replied Tom Sandoval.

The show’s host, Andy Cohen, said during the show’s commercial break, Scheana told Raquel, “You know, I only picked Sandoval because I knew that you were going to pick Schwartz.” Raquel responded, “Well, Sandoval has abs.”

During a separate episode of Vanderpump Rules season 10, Raquel seemingly hinted at her close relationship with Tom while chatting with ex-fiancé James.

“I mean, I don’t know if she’s going to the pool party at Tom Sandoval’s later this week,” James said. Raquel replied, “Well, you’re invited. Tom Sandoval told me.”

During a March 30 Amazon Live, Scheana revealed that one of her pals uncovered an old photo of Tom and Raquel spending time together at her wedding.

“One of my girlfriends was like ‘So I was at the pool the morning of your wedding, and I was just looking back at some of my photos and there’s literally one with Tom and Raquel in the background in a cabana just hanging out at the pool together,’” she said. “And my friend thought, ‘Don’t you guys need to be getting ready for the wedding? You’re actually in the wedding.’”

Scheana then added, “They knew that Ariana was occupied with me as a good friend and a good bridesmaid so they took that time to hang out. It’s just so disgusting, I mean, I sometimes don’t even have words for it.”

Katie Saw Red Flags

Katie Maloney revealed on the April 4 episode of the “Viall Files” podcast that she began picking up on how “very close” Tom and Raquel started getting, even though the former beauty pageant contestant was “on the outside” of their group of pals.

“I started realizing … when Ariana [Madix] is not around, they’ll still be hanging out. If Ariana chooses not to go to a party or an event, Tom and Raquel will just go together,” Katie explained. She said that even though there’s nothing wrong with being “platonic friends … there was something off about the situation,” adding, “Something reeked of [cheating] to me.”

It’s Done

Despite all the signs and seven months of carrying on their affair, Tom and Raquel called it quits in May, according to multiple reports.

“Tom and Raquel broke up,” a source told The Messenger on May 17. “[Tom’s] relationships with everyone right now are on the back burner, and he’s focusing on his music. He’s about to turn 40 and trying his best to move away from all of this, but he’s struggling at times. Like anyone trying to better themselves, it’s one day at a time.”
