Rainey’s arrival comes almost two years after Randy and Chelsea tragically lost their daughter Rumer just six days after her birth.

At the time, they confirmed their little girl’s passing, writing, “Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents’ loving arms, just days after her birth.”

It was later revealed that she suffered from a rare genetic disorder called nonketotic hyperglycinemia.

“She wouldn’t eat and she wouldn’t wake up,” Randy reflected after his daughter’s death. “She was very lethargic, she never opened her eyes. We kept getting assurances from the doctors and nurses — a lot of babies think they’re still in mommy’s belly and they won’t want to wake up for a day or to eat — but then Rumer went to the NICU about eight hours after her birth.”

He continued, “They started running test after test and nothing was wrong with her. It was a six-day process. It was heart-wrenching and grueling not knowing what was wrong. She was put on a feeding tube pretty early on because she couldn’t eat or swallow, then she decided to stop breathing and we had to put her on a vent.”

After her death, Chelsea and Randy turned to IVF — and were lucky enough to be blessed with little Rainey.

“I’m gonna have an all-girl band — make them do some punk rock or something,” he joked.

Congrats again to the entire family on the new addition!
