Damn, Girl! Priyanka Chopra Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumors on ‘Ellen’ By Downing Tequila

There has been a lot of talk about newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas and the next steps in their marriage. Obviously, the world needs the couple to make a few babies and be the adorable family we know they will be, but it looks like we might have to wait a while for that to become a reality. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on January 29, the 36-year-old new wife made a pretty bold move to shut down those pesky pregnancy rumors — and spoiler alert? It included booze, y’all!

Ellen brought out some tequila shots for the two of them, stating that Pri “asked for this, it’s not me!” The 61-year-old talk show host explained that the Bollywood star requested a shot of the Mexican alcohol every time she appeared on the show. So, naturally, the ladies downed one huge shot each of the stuff.

Woof. It didn’t look pretty, let us assure you. But at the end of the day, one thing is for sure: Priyanka definitely wouldn’t have taken the shot if the pregnancy rumors held any weight whatsoever. So, unfortunately, it’s safe to say we won’t be saying hello to a new Jonas baby in a few months — but don’t cry just yet!

Pri also mentioned that Nick is pretty “family oriented,” so we bet babies will be on the brain one day. “They are really happy right now,” a source previously told Life & Style, “and decided they want to wait a few years before they start having children.” Ugh, makes sense!

The actress and singer tied the knot on December 1 in an incredibly lavish three-day event in Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The nuptials included traditional pre-ceremony festivities, an Indian ceremony and a Western Christian ceremony. They even had a gorgeous cake-cutting ceremony with, that’s right, a three-minute firework display during the reception, so you know it was truly one for the books.

All they need is a baby to take things to the next level … eventually. Fingers crossed!
