Just a day after their newborn son came into the world, Kate Middleton and Prince William showed off the prince to a crowd of reporters, photographers, and cheering well-wishers outside of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London. The couple wore coordinated light-blue outfits (Kate's dress was from one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham) and were clearly beaming as they took turns holding their baby, who was wrapped in a simple white blanket.
The royal couple also shared a couple of adorable pieces of information: It was dad William who changed the baby's first diaper! The prince was in fine form, joking with the crowd, as he added "he's got way more hair than me." William also expressed gratitude to the crowd, many of whom had been waiting for days for a glimpse of the new future king of Britain. "Hopefully you guys can get back to normal now," he said.
Both sets of grandparents - Carole and Michael Middleton and Prince Charles and Camilla - visited the hospital earlier today. Carole pronounced the baby "absolutely beautiful."
Following the appearance, the couple got into a car to head back home to Kensington Palace. Forget about a fancy limo for this couple - William drove in a regular car, with Kate next to him and Baby Cambridge strapped securely into a car seat.
Though he's currently the most famous infant in the world, there's one thing the little prince is missing - a name! William told reporters that he and Kate still hadn't picked one but would choose "soon." According to a massive survey conducted by Facebook yesterday, the current favorite name for the little guy is George, with James, Louis, Henry, and Philip rounding out the top five.
