In an exclusive interview, Paul Walker’s father, Paul Walker III, tells In Touch magazine that “it’s been really hard” for his granddaughter, Meadow, following the death of her father and now fighting Porsche in a lawsuit.

“Everybody’s still very much in shock,” Paul Walker III explains to In Touch, on newsstands now. “It’s taking a long time to [heal], a real long time.”

Sixteen-year-old Meadow Walker is seeking unspecified monetary damages in the lawsuit she filed against Porsche, claiming that the Carrera GT lacked multiple safety features “that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul to survive the crash.”

“There is a very strong case and I foresee this getting heavily dragged out,” San Diego-based attorney Craig McClellan tells In Touch.

Though she filed the suit “with great reluctance,” according to her attorney, Jeff Milam, her grandfather says that Paul would definitely approve of his little girl’s conviction. “He was proud of Meadow,” he adds, “every day of her life.

“She’s a stunning girl … very graceful. When you watch Meadow, it’s not like she walks, she glides,” her grandfather tells In Touch. “Her mother [Paul’s ex-girlfriend Rebecca Soteros] is that way, and Paul was, too.”
