‘One Tree Hill’ Star Hides in McDonald’s Freezer From Gunshots at Houston Airport
One Tree Hill star, Stephen Colletti, had a traumatizing afternoon when shots rang out inside Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston— which happened to be where the actor was traveling.
Reports are emerging that a man shot himself at a ticket counter after firing into the air with an assault rifle. The shooter, who is reportedly dead, was then taken to an area hospital— but not before scaring fellow travelers.
Hayden Panettiere's ex-boyfriend tweeted about hearing the shots.
5 or 6 shots fired 50 feet from me in Houston Airport. Terminal B. Never seen so many people move so fast and find such nooks to hide. #woah

He continued to explain that everyone froze after the initial gunshots, and when more were heard, travelers panicked and ran in every direction with chaos ensuing.
Stephen, who played Chase Adams on the hit CW show, then ended up hiding inside the kitchen of an airport McDonald's.
My instincts lead me to an all too familiar place of panicked decisions, the kitchen of a McDonalds.

He adds:
Trapped in McDonalds, I felt incredibly unsafe, then the walk-in freezer door swings open and a sweet little older woman waves me in. #angel

At this time, the airport remains on lockdown with flights grounded.
Credit to the officers on scene here, the situation became calm, panic-free quickly however the terminal is still on lock down.
