They’ve come so far. Nadya Suleman, who is sometimes referred to as the “Octomom” — shared a photo on Instagram of her famous octuplets to celebrate their first day as fifth graders. Nadya, 44, wrote, “First day of fifth! I love you, each and every one of you, unconditionally. You are all becoming some of the most kind, selfless, caring human beings I have ever known. Thank you kids for being so patient with mom and posing for this last second, first day pic! #FirstDayOfSchool #ProudMomma.”

In 2009, Nadya gave birth to octuplets — six boys and two girls — conceived via in vitro fertilization. She already had six other children at the time. Now, her youngest are clearly growing up, and her followers can’t get enough of it.

“Each time you post a photo and I read the caption I get goosebumps. The love and positivity you share really touches me every single time 😍🤗,” one person wrote in the comments of the photo. Another person said, “This is photographic evidence of all your hard work raising these beautiful children. What a gorgeous family 💕.”

Previously, Nadya took to social media to reveal that one of her kids, Aidan, is on the Autism spectrum. “This is my baby Aidan,” she captioned a video of her son playing in a sandbox on August 20. “He is 14 years old, severely autistic and requires total care. Aidan relies on me, his mom, to completely assist him in meeting all his needs in activities of daily living.”

She continued, “I chose to share about Aidan, who is both a blessing and challenge in my life, to provide a contextualization for you oblivious and condemnatory critics, who erroneously believe I am compartmentalized from my children. You violate me, you violate them. Enough is enough.” In other words: don’t mess with this mama or her family.
