Nina Dobrev Confirms Her ‘Vampire Diaries’ Return — See Her Announcement!

Nina Dobrev took to Instagram earlier today to confirm that she is returning to The Vampire Diaries for its final episode. She shared a picture of her script and wrote, “I know it’s Thursday, but this is not a TBT. #BackOnSet #TVDForever.”

The 28-year-old left the show in 2015 after six years in Mystic Falls.

“The fairy tale has to end, and the next chapter has to begin,” she previously said of her decision to depart the show and leave the character she’s best known for. “I knew this was my time, and I’m excited for the next step.”

It has long been speculated that Nina would return to the series for the final season, and during a recent interview she hinted at the possibility of coming back.

“I haven’t ever told secrets in the past and I’m definitely not going to start now,” she said earlier this month. “Sorry guys, I’m not allowed to talk about that.”
