My 600-Lb Life’s Nikki Webster and Husband Marc Are Going Strong After Her 450-Pound Weight Loss

When we first met Nikki Webster on My 600-Lb Life, she weighed 650 pounds and had difficulty accomplishing even the most mundane tasks. However, after undergoing gastric bypass surgery, the Arizona native had a second shot at life and she’s been making the most of it.

The former patient of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan recently shared an update about how she is doing after tying the knot with her loving husband, Marc Gray, in 2017.

“Hi friends! This is wild, am I right? Let’s talk about our little friend the Roni,” she began on July 12, referring to the coronavirus outbreak. “My life, as well as many of yours, has been turned completely upside down. I’m still struggling and dealing with all the changes and emotions that have accompanied this pandemic.”

“Marc, my parents, and I are taking every precaution in social distancing,” she added. “Marc and I have said ‘no’ to jobs, friends, dinner dates with friends, vacations, and other family members to keep [everyone] safe. Please wear a mask and help us! And help keep your family safe as well!”

Nikki and Marc are still going strong after exchanging their vows in the stunning LDS Temple in Saint Louis. The Arkansas resident said the nuptials were everything she ever dreamed of. “It was an absolutely gorgeous, sweet, and perfect day,” she gushed about the breathtaking ceremony.

In October 2019, Nikki sweetly opened up about their romantic date. “The boy and I took a day trip to Memphis to see ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ YA’LL. FULL ON UGLY CRYING. For those of you who don’t know … Marc surprised sang to me at our wedding reception with our dear friend, Oriana. They sang ‘Only Us’ which is very near and dear to our hearts,” she shared.

Nikki previously posted a message expressing gratitude to all those who have stuck by her side during those incredibly hard times, including Marc. “I’m thankful for those people that support and love me unconditionally — that have loved me at 650 pounds … at 200 pounds … and everything in between,” she wrote. “Those people that have been patient with me as I learn what life is and what it’s all about.”

Nikki surprised fans when she first announced the guy she went on a date with in her 2017 Where Are They Now? special, Marc, asked for her hand in marriage.

During a whirlwind eight months, the couple got engaged, married and moved in together. “[We are] ridiculously and blissfully in love and happy with married life,” she gushed.

In a 2017 interview with PEOPLE, the reality star also opened up about her new outlook on life after dropping an incredible 450 pounds. “It’s hard to imagine now how I used to live,” Nikki confessed. “It’s just become so vastly different. It’s been hard. It has been the hardest two years of my life, but it’s been the most victorious and exciting.”

Prior to losing weight, however, Nikki felt ashamed of the way she looked and was even banned from seeing her sister’s children in case her weight “distressed” them. She said at the time, “My weight is debilitating. My body is so painful, I hate it. But I say this to myself. Food is an addiction to me and my addiction is killing me.”

On the bright side, Nikki found a healthy diet and exercise routine that worked for her. “I do a lot of walking, that’s my favorite thing to do,” she revealed. “I’ll walk at least 2 to 3 miles a day or I try to. I’ll also try to do weight training and that kind of thing. I go to the gym every now and then and do those sorts of things.”

She added it’s not always easy to stick to, though. “Consistency is the most important part of all this and if you don’t have it then it’s really difficult to be successful. While I’ve been able to be consistent, it’s still difficult. Consistency and balance. Balancing my work, which is demanding, and balancing the social lifestyle that I have now, then balancing family… That’s the most difficult part of it all, balancing and being consistent.”

It’s clear that this lady is killing it at life. We’re so excited for you, Nikki! We can’t wait to see what you get up to next.
