Are Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou still together? The couple that fans love to hate returned for Season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, and things weren’t exactly perfect in their relationship. Even though Nicole did move to Morocco to marry Azan — which was their only option if they wanted to be together since Azan’s K-1 visa was denied — she is now back in the United States after calling off their wedding not once, but twice. Now, Nicole is setting the reconrd straight about where their relationship stands months after the season ended.

On Sept. 22, Nicole posted a screenshot of a fan’s comment on her Instagram that said, “for everyone’s information, the couple has split.” Nicole clapped back, writing, “That’s funny, no one told me and Azan that.” She doubled down later the same day, writing, “We may be thousands of miles apart, but I love you from Florida to Morocco, then to the moon and back.”

The distance probably explains why Nicole hasn’t posted a photo of Azan since July. Fans also speculated about something fishy going on when Nicole posted a photo to her Instagram Stories wearing her engagement ring on her right hand rather than her left. She hasn’t explained this, but the fact that she’s still wearing it is probably a good enough sign that they’re still engaged.

This isn’t the first time Nicole has tried to quell split rumors. She took to her Instagram story shortly after TLC aired a one-hour special dedicated to her and Azan’s nuptials in July, in which Nicole and Azan revealed that they called off their wedding indefinitely.

It seemed like Nicole was trying to tell fans that things are just fine between them, despite the obstacles. Nicole and Azan had to postpone their wedding because she didn’t bring the correct paperwork needed to apply for a marriage license in Morocco, she and Azan tried to continue with their wedding planning but they hit another roadblock. They realized that a Moroccan wedding would completely wipe the savings that Nicole brought with her from America, and instead of spending it on a venue, multiple wedding dresses, and catering, they thought it would be a better idea to invest their money in a beauty/makeup/skincare store near Azan’s home in Morocco.

Nicole and Azan felt that it would be better for their future to invest in a business so that they could have an income to be able to save up for a traditional, lavish wedding ceremony and recepetion — but there was one big problem. Nicole’s tourist visa only permitted her to be in the country for three months, and since Azan did not want to at least legally marry Nicole so that she could stay in Morocco and help him with the business, she had to go back to America.

The couple still hasn’t given a definite time frame as to when Nicole will return Morocco to marry Azan, but it seems like that is still their current plan.

In June, Nicole’s stepfather confirmed to Radar Online that she had returned to the US after calling off her wedding to Azan because “the timing wasn’t right,” but that she may still be planning to return at some point to marry him. We wish them the very best of luck!
