Sources reveal in the new issue of In Touch that there’s been some serious behind-the-scenes drama leading up to Today anchor Natalie Morales’ West Coast move.

NBC revealed on May 4 that Natalie would be leaving her position and moving to LA to handle the show’s West Coast coverage and host Access Hollywood and Access Hollywood Live — but In Touch has learned the real reason behind her exit.

“Natalie and her co-anchor Tamron Hall do not get along, and it was becoming a strain on the show,” says a Today insider.

The insider adds, “Tamron demands so much of the camera time, and Natalie just wasn’t going to fight to be featured on segments. Tamron always wants to do the big celebrity interviews, but isn’t as eager to do the smaller stories.”

The insider exclusively reveals that the tension with her co-anchor became so toxic that she even met with execs at rival network ABC.

“When NBC found out, they immediately granted her request to transfer to LA,” the source explains. “Now she’s looking forward to putting the drama in the past. She knows this move couldn’t come at a better time.”
