An online love story went wrong between Natalia Grace and a United Kingdom-based man, giving the Ukrainian orphan no option but to abide by caretaker Antwon Mans’ overbearing rules.
“I was online, I met a guy. I’ve always wanted to find love,” Natalia, 23, said in a confessional, featured in the official trailer for The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter, which Investigative Discovery released on Thursday, December 12.
A text from Natalia, seemingly to her online partner, appeared on the screen. “I love you and only you,” the message read.
In the following scene, Antwon’s wife, Cynthia Mans, said via audio that Natalia “was going to go to the United Kingdom.” The Manses and Natalie sat together for a confessional, when Antwon revealed the shocking ways they kept Natalie from traveling to see the man.
“We can’t allow this to happen. We gotta cut the internet,” Antwon said.
Moments from The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter teaser, released in November, followed the confession – including claims against the Mans’ that are horrifying.
“I saw Antwon beating Natalia,” an unidentified man said in a confessional. “I kept telling her, ‘You need to go before you get killed.’”
Nicole and Vince, a couple who claimed to have tried to adopt Natalia in 2009, attempt to save her from her “hostage” lifestyle with the Manses. Nicole admitted that her husband wasn’t on board with her plan, but she decided to do it anyway.

“I’m angry. It’s me or Natalie,” Vince said in a confessional, seemingly reenacting a conversation between he and Nicole.
She shared her side, saying, “We don’t have a choice. We have to help her.”
The final seconds end with the intensifying moment that Nicole seemingly picks Natalie up in the middle of the night.
“I’m hyperventilating. My dad’s gonna snap,” Natalie said in an audio, which quickly cut to Antwon yelling, “You’re not gonna get away!”
The trailer also revealed that The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter will premiere on January 6, 2025.
Although Natalia got adopted by the Manses during the January finale of Natalia Speaks, their relationship went south. Before the credits rolled, an audio of what appeared to be a phone call from Antwon and Cynthia played.
“Something ain’t right with Natalia. This girl is tweakin’,” Antwon said. “I feel like she’s the enemy in the house. And she said to us, we have held her hostage. Made us look like we’re the enemy.”
Cynthia, for her part, said, “Natalia does not have emotions for nothing but herself. We’re done. We’re done with her,” Antwon continued from the other side of the line, adding she’s “done other things too, but this was a new low.”
Fans shared their thought on the upcoming season in the comments section of the November teaser via YouTube.
One person wrote, “Something about her has always creeped me out, and I don’t rattle easily!”
“Man! This story gets crazier and crazier,” a second person commented.
Natalie made headlines when her former adoptive parents Michael and Kristine Barnett claimed that she lied about her age and allegedly tried to kill them. The couple abandoned her after providing her an apartment in Indiana, which is where she met the Manses and congregated into their family.
