‘My 600-lb Life’ Star Janine Mueller Drops an Impressive 431 Pounds and Finds New Love
What a comeback! Janine Mueller exuded more confidence than ever while appearing on the May 29 episode of the hit TV show My 600-lb Life. The reality star not only dropped a staggering 431 pounds, but she also went public with a boyfriend and showed off her stylish new ‘do.
The Seattle-native, 55, previously spent almost a decade of her life being immobile, having to rely on a scooter to get up and around. Janine once weighed 678 pounds, but after getting gastric surgery, she has now lost almost two thirds of her body weight and only uses a walker. With the help of Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, Janine has managed to make her fitness goals a reality.
Since the last time we saw Janine, she joined a dating website, got herself a sexy red wig and became romantically involved with a guy named Doug. When the TLC alum went to visit Dr. Now, she proudly asked him off the bat, “Notice anything different about me today?” He said, “I thought I would never see the day that you come here without your scooter so I’m proud of your progress.”
She then introduced Dr. Now to her beau. “This is Doug. My boyfriend, so I’m dating now. Doug is the newest member of my support staff,” Janine said. The reality star has been sticking to her diet and doing her best not to cheat. “The Janine I’ve trapped in this body for years is finally getting a chance to come out and that’s exciting,” she revealed about her transformation, noting how it’s both physical and mental. “At times, it’s scary too, but in the end, it’s wonderful,” Janine added.
Janine documented her weight loss journey on season 6 of the reality TV series, in which morbidly obese patients try to get approved for bariatric surgery — and it’s often a matter of life or death. Now, fans are overjoyed to see Janine looking happier and healthier than ever before.
“I watched it and am elated to see your progress,” one sweetly commented on her May 22 Facebook post. “You’re fabulous. It seemed to have taken a while but holy smokes, when you got on board, you went all out. Your dedication is admirable. You look absolutely beautiful!”
