He’s a new man! Gideon Yeakley is looking slim and happier than ever in an adorable new photo with his family. The My 600-lb Life star weighed 650 pounds when he was introduced to viewers on the show, but he’s since dropped “almost half of his starting weight,” and you can see his incredible weight loss transformation in a pic shared this week. Check it out in the video above and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

In the snap, Gideon is all smiles while posing next to his wife Kayleigh, their son Jonathan, and daughter Frankie. Gideon’s had quite the journey over the years. At one point, the reality star was nearly on his deathbed when he decided to undergo gastric bypass surgery. During his episode of the hit TLC show, Gideon said he was having no problem sticking to his new diet, but he found it difficult to “stay active all day” on so few calories. “It is hard because when I felt anything, I could just go eat,” he said. “Now I can’t do that.”

Gideon’s gone through his fair share of hardships, as his parents divorced when he was just eight-years-old, and he was forced to choose which parent he wanted to live with and he ultimately went with his father. After graduating high school, Gideon weighed more than 400 pounds, and he later dealt with the death of his mother at 25, which made his emotional eating get worse. However, by the show’s end, Gideon was down to 429 pounds and in October 2016, Gideon said he’d lost “almost half of his starting weight” and he’s still going!

Fast forward to now, Gideon is happy and healthy with his beautiful family. Last autumn, the former TLC star and his wife welcomed their first daughter together and fans are thrilled to see Gideon still doing so well. The new seasons of My 600-lb Life and Where Are They Now? are scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2019, so maybe we’ll be lucky and see him!
