MTV lost another member of their family on Monday.
Erik Roner — star of Nitro Circus — died after a skydiving accident during a golf outing at Lake Tahoe, Calif.’s Squaw Valley Ski Resort. A spokesperson told TMZ he was performing in part of the opening act.
Erik, who was 38 at the time of his passing, hit a tree during his stunt. The other divers landed safely and the incident is reportedly being investigated.
He will live on through his wife and two children.
"Devastating news that loving husband, father and Nitro family member, Erik Roner, was today killed in a tragic parachuting accident," a statement on the TV show's Facebook page read. "All our love and prayers are now with Annika, Oskar and Kasper Roner and the rest of the Roner family and friends. We love you Erik and miss you already. We will never forget you."
Our thoughts are with Erik’s loved ones during this difficult time.
