Miranda Lambert’s Husband Brendan McLoughlin Wants To Be a ‘Star’: ‘He Loves the Attention’

In it for the right reasons? Miranda Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin, wants to be in the limelight, a source exclusively told In Touch magazine, on newsstands now. After the 27-year-old walked the carpet with the 35-year-old blonde beauty at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April, he is dying for more time in front of the cameras. “Brendan loves all the attention,” a source revealed.

“He’s had a desire to be famous since high school,” the insider continued. “He always dabbled in modeling and has had brushes with fame before.” The Staten Island native started to get recognized in 2015 after a video of himself doing the Cupid Shuffle in Times Square went viral. Afterward, he was nicknamed “Hot Cop” by many people.

It seems like this is the perfect time for the dad of one to embark on his new endeavor. “This is his chance to be famous, for sure,” the source added. “Imagine how excited he is to be walking the red carpet with one of the biggest artists in the country!”

Don’t be surprised if the newlyweds collaborate on something in the future, either. “He’s even saying he and Miranda are working on something together,” the insider revealed. “My guess is it’s a music video. This is just the beginning. Now that he’s married to Miranda, Brendan will use that to his advantage — I’m sure Hollywood is next!”

The “Tin Man” crooner announced on Instagram in February that she was no longer single. “In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share some news,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a wedding gown at the time. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you, Brendan McLoughlin, for loving me for … me. #TheOne.”

Brendan is also reaping the benefits of Miranda’s lavish lifestyle. She’s “totally upgraded Brendan’s life,” an insider told In Touch in May since she bought a $2 million New York City apartment for the two of them. “Being a young NYPD officer, he wasn’t exactly rolling in the money. But it seems Miranda likes spoiling him and doesn’t mind spending money to make him happy,” the source noted.
