She’s grateful for her hubby! Country star Miranda Lambert performed a concert at the Event Center at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday, August 31, and she took a moment towards the end of her performance to shout out her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, who was also in attendance — right before she sang her song, “Tin Man,” which many fans believe is about her ex-husband, Blake Shelton.

“I love country music I live and breathe it. Something about country music is usually a sad song. You gotta have them, sometimes the sad song gets you through a sad time, isn’t that right?” Miranda, 35, told the crowd.

“Lucky for me, I’m not in a sad time anymore in my life,” she continued and held up her left hand to show off her wedding ring to her fans. “Thank you to my sweet husband from Staten Island, by the way!” Earlier in the night, Miranda’s MuttNation Foundation received a cash-and-supplies donation from Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s Premier Nightclub in Atlantic City.

Miranda then began to sing her 2017 hit song, “Tin Man,” off of her 2016 album The Weight of These Wings. The album was Miranda’s first release since her divorce from Blake, 43, and the lyrics tell a story about heartbreak. “Hey there, Mr. Tin Man / You don’t know how lucky you are / You shouldn’t spend your whole life wishin’ / For something bound to fall apart / Every time you’re feeling empty / Better thank your lucky stars / If you ever felt one breaking / You’d never want a heart,” Miranda sings on the track.

Miranda and Blake split in July 2015 after about four years of marriage. Since then, Blake went on to date his current girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, and they’ve been together since November 2015. Meanwhile, Miranda went on to date several musicians until she met her NYPD officer hubby, on November 2, 2018, after she performed on Good Morning America with her band, the Pistol Annies. At the time, Brendan, 27, worked out of the South Midtown Precinct in NYC, which includes Times Square, which means he often worked right outside of the GMA studio. Just three months later, Miranda announced that she and Brendan tied the knot in a sweet Valentine’s Day post on Instagram and Brendan even relocated from NYC to Tennessee to start their lives as newlyweds.

Back in July, an insider exclusively revealed to In Touch that Brendan is loving his new life with Miranda. “He loves Tennessee and wouldn’t move back to New York because he’s so happy there,” the source said. “He loves the Tennessee lifestyle.”
