Mindy Kaling Gets in Scary Car Crash — But Fans Just Want Selfies
We’re glad you’re OK, Mindy Kaling! The Office alum got into a scary crash in Los Angeles that completely wrecked her car, Radar Online reported. Luckily, the actress, 39, wasn’t seriously injured, but seemed a little rattled from the incident — especially because fans asked her for selfies and autographs while she waited for a tow truck to come. Um, talk about an invasion of privacy?
“When you get in a car accident on Highland and Fourth and your car is totaled, and looky-looks come up and ask to take a photo with you, then you wish you weren’t everyone’s best friend,” the comedian quipped.

While the brunette beauty is known for being open and honest with fans, she did stay rather quiet about who her baby daddy is when she welcomed daughter Katherine in December 2017.
Fans came up with a few theories as to who the mystery man could be, and her costar from The Office B.J. Novak was at the top of the list. The pair have been best friends for a long time, but have also dated on and off during their time on the hit show. Senator Cory Booker was also another name thrown around because he asked The Mindy Project creator to dinner via Twitter.

In March 2017, he wrote, “You are making my day! Thanks for the clarification. And if the love is really mutual … Come have dinner with me in Newark? #PleaseSayYes.” Mindy replied, “Yes. Now let me get the PATH train schedule.”
Even though she is a single parent, the Why Not Me author seems to be adjusting to motherhood quite well. “I knew how much I would love her and love the experience of being with her,” she told TODAY Parents. “I never understood how much I would worry and how much that worry is unceasing. Happiness for me, now, is just a feeling of relief. I’m in a constant state of worry but I’m enjoying it too.”
She added, “Motherhood is so rewarding in a way you can’t explain. I look back at myself — it’s very crazy to me. I feel brave having done it.”
We’re so happy that Mindy is doing great. Hopefully next time her fans give her the space she deserves.
