Miley Cyrus Shares Selfies With Cody Simpson After Split Rumors: ‘Start Dating Your Best Friend ASAP’
Seems like all is well between them. Miley Cyrus shared selfies with her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, not long after rumors of the end of their relationship ran rampant. “Start dating your best friend ASAP,” Miley, 27, captioned one photo of the two of them she posted to her Instagram Story on December 26.
The singer also shared another photo of the couple — this time in black and white — and added the caption, “Besties.” We think it’s safe to say these two are still going strong.
Previously, speculation that Cody, 22, and Miley broke up grew after he was spotted in New York City with Playboy model Jordy Murray. But Cody’s sister, Alli Simpson, quickly cleared the air about his and Miley’s relationship on December 23.
“Yes, [they’re] together for sure,” the 21-year-old told The Daily Mail Australia. “[Jordy] is his best friend Ryan McCarthy’s girlfriend of a few years. He’s visiting him for a couple of days.” That seems pretty definitive.
The couple also spent their first Christmas together this year. The pop star shared several photos of her family throughout the day on December 25, and her beau was clearly present. “Merry Xmas,” she captioned a sweet picture on her Instagram Stories. She also uploaded videos of Cody playing around with his guitar and yet another photo of the two of them together on the holiday.
Not to be left out, Cody also posted a photo of a gold skull necklace that he seemingly gave to Miley for Christmas. “Museum quality for my queen,” he wrote. He also shared a video of the performer twerking in the kitchen. “Just some wholesome Christmas content,” he wrote. LOL!
Miley and Cody began dating in October — just two months after she ended her relationship with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. “I’m very happy. Yeah, I’m very, very happy,” he told In Touch and other reporters back in October. “She’s creative. She’s very passionate about what she does and I’m very similar in that sense, that’s why we get along so well. We just have a ball and that’s the most important part of a relationship.”
